Today Blackmagic Design announced DeckLink HD Plus™ a new generation of DeckLink HD card that adds genlock and HD Tri-Sync input as well as AES/SPDIF digital audio input and output.
Blackmagic DeckLink HD Plus™ is the first uncompressed 10 bit video PCI card priced under US$1,000 that can do both standard definition SDI video, as well as full HDTV video formats and includes genlock for integration with large broadcast facilities. DeckLink HD Plus™ can instantly be switched between SDTV SMPTE-259M SDI video and HDTV SMPTE-292M/296M SDI video for 1080i/1080p/720p video editing and design.
DeckLink HD Plus™ features a single HD/SD-SDI video & audio input and output, AES/SPDIF digital audio input output, genlocked AES wordclock output as well as a Sony™ compatible RS422 serial deck control port.
10 bit uncompressed HDTV video is perfect for film and television online work, and now any user can afford to edit and finish on clean uncompressed 10 bit HD video. Blackmagic DeckLink HD Plus™ also includes the famous Blackmagic codec, which independent tests have shown to be the highest quality QuickTime™ codec for uncompressed video available today. Supporting 64 bit rendering in applications such as Adobe After Effects™, DeckLink HD Plus™ is one of the only products that allows full 10 bit capture and rendering.
Featuring the world's fastest PCIX 133 MHz interface, DeckLink HD Plus™ does not limit hardware performance because of the low price, and it features cutting edge technology for full uncompressed 10 bit HDTV video quality capture and playback. When plugged into PCIX 100 MHz or PCIX 133 MHz slots, DeckLink HD Plus™ can immediately switch to full HDTV operation whenever the user requires.
